City of Bruceville-Eddy Declaration of Local State Disaster

City of Bruceville-Eddy Declaration of Local State Disaster

By state law, a Mayor must declare a local state of disaster before a city may request disaster recovery assistance.  If a municipality anticipates requesting financial assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayor must declare a local state of disaster and submit that declaration to the Governor through the Texas Division of Emergency Management.

The Mayor has taken those necessary steps to ensure we receive Federal assistance, if needed.
